"My thoughts on advocating are to jump in feet first. If you give it too much thought we tend to out-talk ourselves in our thoughts and why it's not going to work. For me, I'll give you my example. Initially, it was, 'I don't have the look of an advocate. I don't like the sound of my own voice.' But just things of those natures that we tend to tell ourselves in our mind. And we never actually step out there. However, if we just take the first step and see how that goes. And then, after that, continue walking. Because we're all advocates by nature. I don't think there's anyone living that's not an advocate by nature, especially when it comes to something that you're passionate about."
